Practice Areas -> Bond Hearings / Pretrial Release

When contacted by a client who has been arrested and has not been able to post the bond which was set at the jail at the time of arrest, I immediately schedule a bond hearing before the Administrative Judge. At this hearing, I will first attempt to negotiate an agreement with the State to lower the bond to an amount which my client can post and be released. Should that prove unsuccessful, I will bring testimony and evidence to the judge to convince the Court that my client will appear at future court hearings and poses no threat to commit any further crimes should he or she be released at a lower bond amount or on their own recognizance.

I can also refer the client and his family to reputable bondsmen in the local area to expedite the client’s release.
